I'm writing this ongoing series of posts in thanksgiving to St. Padre Pio, for his intercession a year ago, which no doubt helped me emerge from a medical crisis I went through (a rare injury resulting in complications).
But I also want to share this saint's life and messages for modern man, in particular for people suffering terribly from medical illness, pain, discomfort, or any kind of extraordinary suffering. Please share these posts with them. Padre Pio's perseverence through his own, constant pain and crosses is a testimony to the redemptive meaning of human suffering, by means of Christ's Cross.
